Flemings on 4th is nearing completion after a total renovation by the Salem R-80 Construction Trades Program. COVID and related issues substantially impacted and delayed work on the building, but the students in the program have nearly completed this project over the past five years. All that remains is installation of the kitchen appliances! We remain hopeful it will be ready for events in 2025. Stay tuned!
Pharmacy Fountain
The old Pharmacy and Soda Fountain, removed from Flemings when the Benowitz family took over the space in 1954, has renewed life in the historic Flemings building. Along with the Pharmacy Fountain, all the original store displays, as well as pay station, have been restored to their beautiful glory and are installed exactly where they were when the store first opened - their construction of green washed oak dates them between 1845 and 1849. When you walk into the store, its like walking back in time.
Seasonal Events
Dragonfly Wings will host seasonal festivals and events throughout the year. We are in the planning stages for our first Spring/Summer event in April. Dates and details will follow! You can also see some of our ideas on our Events page.
Get Togethers
We will be hosting a myraid of weekly and monthly events highlighting creative arts, book clubs, quilting bees, knitting circles, card clubs, movie nights, food, music, etc. We are in the planning stages for these get togethers and we hope we have many participants! Have ideas? Let us know!
Depending on the season, we will offer seasonal items for sale, such as Memorial, Fall and Christmas florals, as well as retail items, home made food, handmade quilts and items made or propagated by local farmers and artisans.
On Site Sales
We will have Pop Up Events as needed for fundraisers, such as cash and carry sales, online auctions, raffles, specialty foods and other special events – such as movie nights, book events and cooking classes.
