Lend a Helping Hand
Our “To Do” List
“A teacher spends, on average, $1,500 out of pocket for their classroom… many spend much more. To help offset this cost, teachers who participate as volunteers in Dragonfly Wings will receive monetary credits for their classroom, based on the number of hours they volunteer. It is just one more way we can give teachers a hand up!”
– Lisa Durbin-Hester
Dragonfly Wings is gearing up as Flemings on 4th becomes more of a reality each day. We need all the hands we can get and look forward to working together with community members on this common goal. Even before Flemings on 4th opens, we have a “to do” list of things that need to accomplish:
We are organizing a Dragonfly Wings Foundation Spring/Summer kick-off/fundraiser in April. We will need workers on the days of the event. If you would like to participate, please submit the Volunteer Form. We will let you know when and where our first meeting will take place!
We will be conducting online auctions throughout the year. We are looking for donations of unique handmade items – such as quilts, ornaments, home decor, baskets, candles, and/or or other hand made crafts. We are taking donations now, and will begin online auctions in the near future. When Flemings opens, we will offer select, handcrafted items in the store. If you would like to donate something, please submit the Volunteer Form.
We will be conducting creative classes, and learning experiences in the store. If you have an art or life skill you would like to teach or learn, If you would like to help, please submit the Volunteer Form. We are open to everything - cross stitchers, quilters, knitters, artists, cooks, pasta makers, flower arranging, bakers, you name it! It’s all about getting together as a community.
We will need volunteers for just about everything! If you would like to volunteer please submit the Volunteer Form.
